Interview with a vampire, was written in 1973 by Anne Rice and made into a movie in 1994 is a true classic and the first movie of the vampire chronicles. The first scene of the movie begins with a 200 year old Vampire named Louis confiding his life story to a reporter named Daniel Molloy who is referred to as “the boy” in the novel. In 1791 Louis was a young plantation owner who had given up all hope in life, he had recently lost his beloved wife and children when a vampire named Lestat comes into his life and offers immortality in exchange for Louis’s companionship.

At first, Louis refuses and begs to be killed however Lestat turns him into a vampire and they both become immortal. Lestat teaches Louis the ways of a vampire and that is satisfy the lust for blood by drinking human blood, Louis however is against this and prefers to drink animal blood instead but in New Orleans he gives into his lust for blood and bites a young sick girl named Claudia, whom Lestat later transforms into a vampire daughter to prevent Louis from leaving him.

Lestat then teaches her the ways of a vampire making her copy all of his actions as to killing but as 30 years passes by Claudia being the immortal being that she is, remains in the body of little girl. She becomes angry at Lestat and plans to seek revenge, she later lures Lestat into drinking the blood of twin boys who she had previously poisoned. Dead man’s blood being fatal to vampires weakens Lestat, this opportunity is then used by Claudia to slit his throat and dispose of his body.

Louis and Claudia then begin their life together and their adventure to seek other vampires. This movie from my point of view shows with the question what would someone do if their life never ended and explores in more deeper way than any movies today.

Both Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt did a fine job in potraying the characters and Kristen Dunst who was 11 at that time was absolutely magnificent in playing Claudia who was a grown woman trapped in a young girl’s body. The movie's gives me a creep sometimes because you can feel the dark atmosphere on what it is like to be vampire, the movie also have sequel called "Queen of the Damned" who played by Alliyah .
